Windscreen Wipers Are No Longer Only Used On Automobile Windshields, They Have Lots Of Everyday Uses
Filed Under Autos, Trucks and More
When Windscreen wipers were first invented, it was to assist the car driver to keep his windscreen clear without the need to stick his hand out of the car and clear the windshield maually.
Practically anywhere that glass is located, also you will find Wiper blades. These are not just used on the front windscreen of an automobile, but sometimes on hatchbacks are also fixed to the rear windscreen. Some cars also have Wiper blades on their headlights. This is very helpful for dirty roads, or in snowy conditions, where headlights would quickly become much less efficient without this brilliant invention.
Even aeroplanes have Windscreen wipers and I would expect that they need to have some of the best Wiper blades available. As they fly at such high speed and with massive temperature variations anything less than top quality would not last.
Public transport, whether buses, trams or trains, all have Windscreen wipers in order to assist their drivers with visibility. While trains are on rails, and therefore it may be thought “well why is it important for a train driver to see so clearly?” there are still signals along the track which the train operator needs to take heed of in order to ensure the safety of the public. The train operator also needs to be able to see when driving towards a station that the train stops correctly. Wiper blades, therefore, are necessary for all modes of public transport.
Mopeds do not seem to have Windscreen wipers and this is most likely due to the fact that not all motorbikes have windscreens. Motorcyclists wear crash helmets with visors and they sometimes also have a special rain visor, so the necessity for Wiper blades on a scooter is not as high as it would be for other modes of vehicle.
The best wiper blades not connected with vehicles have in my opinion got to be those used by window cleaners. How much more simple it is to get a clean finish on home, office and shop windows by using Wiper blades than ever it was with cloths. I am not sure who first had the idea to move the Wiper blades away from the windshield and used them on a window, but I respect their resourcefulness hugely. Streak-free windows are now much more achievable.
Smaller Wiper blades are also in shops for use in the bathroom, on shower screens and tiles, so that these can be kept clean and help prevent the build up of limescale.
This all just indicates how one individual’s notion of how to improve life for a certain target market can actually improve many more lives in time.
