Why would someone by a high powered street bike that wouldn’t do power wheelies at 100mph nor do stoppies?

Answer:
Probably for the same reason that everyone who owns a pistol doesn’t go out and shoot humans like some idiot criminal. In other words, some people have the will power to use restraint and good judgment. My touring bike uses the same engine that in its day was the fastest mass produced bike on the planet. In my case, having ample power allows me to push a large fairing, haul lots of weight in rider, passenger and luggage and ride at 10,000′ altitudes with power to spare. And no, I wouldn’t be doing 100 mph wheelies or stoppies even if my 960 pound bike could. I also like the way you made sure you included your credentials, or should I say former credentials (what happened, you couldn’t cut it anymore?) I suppose that’s supposed to lend credibility to what in essence is your very narrow opinion?
