I have a crack in my engine, can I seal it with cement temporarily?

My car runs fine, I wasn’t passing the emissions tests for some reason though and I had all kinds of work done, but then we noticed this poorly welded thing by the oil that broke on one side, and I was wondering if I could seal it with cement? Or anything else someone can recommend TEMPORARILY- Key word I am not stupid, I just need plates before I can go driving to get a job and the money to fully replace the part

here,s something you might try. clean the crack out good with carburator cleaner, let it dry good and push some jb weld into the crack, let it set up hard before driving it. i did that on a transmission once and i had that car for 11 yrs.
