How many bottles of antifreeze will a small 4 cylinder take after draining?

Answer:
Manufactures recommended specification is best. Never waste money on 50/50 pre-mix. Buy 100% antifreeze and fill 1/2 the fully drained capacity with full strength antifreeze first. The reason for doing this is the average person never drains the block and cylinder heads particularly after doing a home flush job with a heater return hose T and garden hose. The cooling system capacity will be in the specifications pages of the manual in the glove compartment. A new four cylinder Toyota Camry only holds 6.2 total quarts in the cooling system. Half of that is 3.20 quarts of 100% antifreeze. The rest should be distilled water.
