Honda has become a popular brand that’s well known around the world. The Honda motor company is perhaps most famous for Honda Cars but it’s also a leading producer of motorcycles. After its birth in Japan the company has spread its tentacles all over the world and you would be able to see Honda vehicles anywhere.
Those enthusiastic ‘car lovers’ might like to know that there are a number of Honda Cars that would be obtainable in 2010. The bad news is that you would have to wait for some time to get your hands on those cars.
The legend of Honda Cars is one that is very inspiring and challenging. The rags to riches story of Soichiro Honda is one that probably many of you are familiar with. His journey from a mechanic to a multi-millionaire through the ashes of the Second World War has warmed many a heart.
S2000, Accord, Civic, CR-V and Insight are some of the most well known Honda Cars and Hybrids were made available by Honda since 2002. The production of such cars has been restrained due to the restricted availability of hydrogen filling stations around the globe especially in developing countries. This however has proven the flexibility of the company and its ability to keep in touch with changing attitudes of consumers.
Honda was also a pioneer Japanese auto manufacturer to produce a luxury brand. In 1986 the company initiated the luxury brand Acura. The sports car S500 became the first Honda Car to be produced by the company. The company has not remained limited to simply production of vehicles and has even produced their very own robot ASIMO in 2000 through its involvement in robotics research.
Honda Cars have become more competitive in the market due to their superior fuel efficiency factor. With more attention being drawn towards global warming this is one fact that could have increased the appeal of Honda. There is evidence that increase in oil prices have lead to an increase in demand for Honda Cars. Even at the factory level the flexibility of the company has been a great strength in its success.
Honda has not been exempt from the list of the victims of the recession. Sales of even Honda Cars reduced but with future forecasts appearing to be positive the future for this exceptional company appears to be a promising one.
