Do you think government control over the auto industry is a good idea?

Our nation is in a financial crisis right now………what does the auto industry have to do with the monetary flow of the USA anyways?
Answer:
Absolutely not. The best solution will be found in the free market, not in governmental control. Allow the manufacturers to file chapter 11, restructure and rid themselves of the outrageous union contracts and let them build the cars that the people want, not what the government says they should want. There is very little that the government can do that is better than the free market.
